Germany and Canada
Reality check: These routes are real, but they are not quick and they are not free. Most African drivers will need to retest, complete Code 95 or Canadian entry-level training, and reach the language level an employer asks for. Costs can run to several thousand euros in Germany and around CA$10,000 for one Alberta Class 1 course (indicative). Some German employers pay for training, but this is not guaranteed, so get it in writing. In Canada, every open truck-driver posting we could read on 30 October 2026 was limited to people already authorised to work there. No employer or agent can guarantee a visa.
